Petersham nurseries!

Oh my gosh I have been trying to go to Petersham nurseries and Richmond park forever and a day (as my moms would say) and I finally made it! Boy was it worth the wait. The weather was perfect as was the company and despite its hefty price tag the cake was pretty good too!

Next place I would like to tick off my list is Sunbury Antiques market!

Pressing flowers

I made some flower presses a little while ago, inspired by (& named after) my lovely friend Rhiannon and it's taken me until now to allow myself to keep one and to have a little go! It's been a little while since my Dryad days. How good was Dryad by the way?!actually that should be how good IS - I had no idea they were still going but check it out! Tempting!
Anyway back to the flowers! Rosie left the most beautiful rose in the car after our jaunt and I couldn't resist pressing some of the petals - and of course photographing it! I can't wait to unscrew the press and see how they're doing but I'm going to hold off a little longer to make sure they're dried out completely.

On my plate instagram

I haven't mentioned food in a while - first time for everything! So for those of you who might have been worried that I stopped eating fear not! There's been lots of this;

Baked Camembert (for one I might add- but even I couldn't finish it)

Homemade pumpkin (well butternut squash) pie

Frozen yoghurt with Pistachios & white Chocolate, YUMM

My instagram name is zolaroid are you on there too?

Springtime!

Finally spring is here! Rosie, Virginie and I took ourselves off for the first picnic of the year at Sissinghurst Castle
The weather was absolutely perfect for wondering through the gardens snapping the flora and forgetting all about school stresses and the noisy city!
Just what we needed.

Happy Mothers Day!

To my wonderful and beautiful Mum, who incidentally is also pretty much my best friend

I really wish I was spending it in Wales but hanging out with loads of kids in the sunshine here won't be so bad!

Book 6

Doing pretty badly on the one a week situation. I haven't finished book 5 yet but needed a change so have started book 6 which is this
bike_snob1
BikeSnob-Bike

I borrowed the photos from over here and incidentally in case you were wondering I'm not one- a bike snob that is, In fact I'm not even riding any kind of bike right now but I bought this for the boy who hasn't read it yet so thought I'd sneak in there first. It's pretty funny so far! and makes me really want one of these
but alas I do not possess a name that lends itself well to either name necklaces or name bikes! woe is me. Incidentally I'm pretty sure it's just a concept but yeah, still nice!

oldies

Since visiting my Mum a few weeks ago I've been riffling through all the old photos I borrowed from my Nanny-Nan. The first time I cried a lot, and thought a lot about my wonderful Grandad who I miss on an almost daily basis. Despite it being some 10 years since losing him. I managed to pull myself together though and now I'm at the stage of really enjoying looking back! There are so many good ones and I've barely scratched the surface with the scanning but I thought I'd share a few here.

Grandad

Literally the best man I've ever known
